David's in Dortmund

Not to be recommended they make jokes about you that are very insulting and put hot sauce on it although I am allergic to it and the prices are too high and the bread too dry and looks like it has just been thawed, I advise you not to go to it pepee, at least everything is much better except the size of the restaurants is a bit smaller than David's.

Unfortunately not so good 🥺 The doors to the kitchen and the toilets were open all the time (18: 00-21: 15), which was very uncomfortable. Music videos were running all the time on three flat-TV's; one could hardly avoid the visual littering of the actually very small room. The staff was friendly; the Hela ketchup attack on the chees burger was moderate, but I can confirm it. The order was carried out quickly and even small special requests were met. Here and there a maintenance jam is visible (chipped table edge, worn chairs, shelves repaired with Bauhaus angles). All in all, not a restaurant but rather a bar with hot dishes on offer.

A great restaurant! I was a guest with my girlfriend and at first thought it was like any other, but that's not true. The atmosphere is very pleasant and calm, the employees are very motivated and nice and the boss is very personal. The food is super delicious and much bigger than expected, so the big David's burger definitely deserves the title. We are always happy to come and look forward to the next meeting with you at David's.

The Corona rules were followed. Distances could be kept well. Contact details were collected table by table. If a table is newly occupied, a new contact list has also been designed. Thanks to the good weather, we were able to eat outside under a very large umbrella. But not only that was good ... the food was also good, the service attentive. We would love to come back.

There is friendly service both inside and outside. The pizzas are as big as wagon wheels, super thin and crispy. David's is the beer garden in town.

Great restaurant with opportunities to watch football games if you like. It is best to reserve just in advance. Top selection of dishes. Very tasty pizzas, pasta, burgers and salads. Nice staff, which is quick and helpful. In summer you can sit outside as the restaurant has a large outdoor area.

I tried this place recently whilst staying with family in Dortmund. We were a group of 8 people celebrating my sisters birthday and the service was brilliant. It has a really cosy and friendly atmosphere. The burgers and pizzas were really really good (I personally ordered the cheeseburger). The food was tasty, very reasonably priced with really generous portion sizes. Thank you to the staff, for making us feel so special.

The food is great and the prices affordable. I had a lovely time there. An experience to renew asap.

Very cool and inviting

Student location with a nice beer garden. For several years now, the Davids has presented itself as a solid bank for gastronomy in the vicinity of the TU Dortmund. Therefore, the restaurant is also very popular with students and university members. There are also many visitors from the surrounding area, as it is one of the few restaurants with a beer garden in the area. The dishes are a mixture of convenience and fresh products, it is worthwhile to look clearly at the menu and to orientate yourself more towards the pizza and tarte flambée than towards the burger, meat dishes and pasta. The prices are ok, if a bit high in some places, for a "student bar". The service staff are usually very friendly and attentive, but when the house is full there can be a significant drop in attention.
